Dawson Creek Minor Hockey is hosting a Development 1 Coaching clinic the weekend of October 22-23, 2016. This coaching clinic is for coaches and assistant coaches of carded teams from PeeWee up. You can register @ There is a pre-course that must be taken on line PRIOR to the weekend clinic. Please bring skates, gloves, helmet, dry erase marker and whistle, as well as a stick on the second day. Day 1 will be held in the Memorial Arena Meeting Room and Day 2 in the Kin Arena Meeting room, all on ice sessions will be in the Kin Arena. Registration is now available on the BC Hockey website.

At this time, DCMHA is holding all new registrations (as of today’s date) for this season in the following divisions: Atom, Pee Wee and Bantam and possibly Midget. Any registrations from Sept 20, 2016 forward will need approval by the Board and will be accepted only if numbers in the applicable division can support them. This means you can still register however unless there are enough additional registrations to form second teams, in the mentioned divisions, your registration may not be accepted. On line registration can still be done, however you will need to choose “other” for form of payment in order to defer payment until such time as DCMHA advises that there is room for your player. Dawson Creek Minor Hockey is always in need of refs so if you are over the age of 12 please consider coming to this clinic. If you ref more than 3 games DCMHA will reimburse the fees from this course (after you have worked your 3 games) plus you get paid to ref so you could earn extra money!!

Dawson Creek Minor Hockey is looking for volunteers for the 2016/17 season for the Initiation Program. On-ice group instructors and head instructors are needed for the Learn to Play, Pre-Novice & Novice groups. A 5:1 player / instructor ratio is the target for each group, so please this is your chance to have a positive impact on your child’s first impression of hockey. A full range of on-ice volunteers are needed from folks that just want to help draw lines on the ice for kids to follow or help set up pylons to folks that want to lead the implementation of the program. At whatever level, this can be a very rewarding experience.

Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association Using ePACT Network

Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association is proud to announce our adoption of ePACT Network for better safety. ePACT is a secure emergency network, that we will use to collect medical and emergency contact information electronically. Not only will ePACT replace paper forms, but it will also ensure we have a way to communicate with you in the event of an illness, injury, or larger scale emergency.
How it works
1) You’ll receive an email invite to share information with Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association.
2) Click ‘Complete Request’ to create a free account, or log-in if you already have an existing ePACT account.
3) Enter the required information, like medical conditions, and share it with Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association so that coaches/safety managers have access.
4) You can update your information at any time in the year, and we will automatically be notified (e.g. a new cell phone number)
ePACT makes it far easier for you to share emergency information with us, while also ensuring we have access to records anytime, anywhere with the mobile app – even without an internet connection.
Rest assured that you always own your account and the information in it. Plus, ePACT maintains the same levels of security as online banking, and limits access only to the administrators we assign for enhanced privacy.
