News and Announcements
Please read the following information, from the Peace River District Minor Hockey Association, on a Female District U18 camp being held in Taylor this summer.
U18 Girls Camp
Recently interest has been expressed from the Peace River Region Female players to have a Bantam Midget Category Team. Due to the high response we will hold our first Female Trackers ID camp August 27,28 in Taylor, BC. A second camp will take place September 10,11. We will work on getting some exhibition games soon afterward. The camps will cost $75 per player per camp. One possibility will be to hold a pre season tournament. If you are interested in helping out with this, please let me know.
This is also a request for interest to have a position with the formation of this team.
Positions required for application will be: Assistant Coach, Manager, Fundraisers, Marketing, and Trainer. Ideally we will have people from each community who can raise awareness and support for our team.
We will start to actively look for sponsors for the team to offset some costs. If you are interested or know of people who would sponsor the girls’ team, please have them contact me. Team naming rights and jersey, pants sponsors are among the items that we can use to promote their businesses.
There will be a requirement of a PRDMHA to host the registration of this team and DCMHA has offered to be the MHA.
Please Submit Applications by July 22nd to firstname.lastname@example.org For further information, contact:

If there are any parents out there, who have kids registered in DCMHA, whose hockey equipment was ruined by the floods this past month in Dawson Creek please contact Dave Hamilton or the DCMHA office and we will point you in the direction of those that may be able to help. Apparently Hockey Canada has a pocket of funding to replace equipment under these circumstances. Contact information is under the “Executive List” tab on the left of this page.
This season DCMHA has joined ePACT to keep, share and access medical records for each player by team safety people and coaches. ePACT is an online emergency network that allows organizations and parents to access medical and other important information on participants. It also allows team officials to contact parents via email to alert them of pertinent information i.e.: if there was a team function scheduled, delay of bus travel or any communication related to your team. This program will allow coaches/safety people and managers to access medical information for each player on their team through an app on their mobile device anywhere they are playing. This should greatly improve the safety of players by having the information on hand at all times. Parents will need to create an account and input all medical information for their player(s). This information will only be accessible to parents, coaches, managers and safety people on line or on the app. Information can be updated at any time and can be integrated with any other organization using ePACT. For example if your child was in soccer and that organization used ePACT the medical information could be linked to DCMHA as well. As a parent you have control over making sure all the latest medical information is on there and available to the people who need it. DCMHA will also have the Parent & Player Code of Conduct Contracts on ePACT for you to sign, so no need to have paper forms of these filled out any longer. DCMHA is confident this will be a better way to track and access medical information for your player! Your team manager will give you the information at the start of the season in order for you to create an account and input the necessary information.
Here is the latest information from Best Performance Hockey for upcoming camps. Once more information is available it will be posted on this website.
Here is the registration form for the Jr. Canucks Hockey School. Please note that DCMHA is not taking registration forms for this hockey school they need to be handed in to the Jr Canucks.
